Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that striker Harry Kane will miss the Premier League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday because of a hamstring injury, and Spurs fans have had their say on the news.
The north London outfit’s official Twitter account posted that the 24-year-old has suffered a minor strain to his left hamstring, and that explains why he was holding his thigh when he was substituted off in the 88th minute of the 4-1 win against Liverpool last weekend.
The England international also missed the 3-2 defeat against West Ham United in the Carabao Cup during the week, and Fernando Llorente is likely to once again deputise up top against Jose Mourinho’s men as he looks to score his first goal for the club.
Tottenham supporters were quick to give their thoughts on the injury update via social media, and while some said their positive start to the season “was fun while it lasted”, others described the news as a “devastating blow”.
