Newcastle were beaten 4-0 by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The Toon had managed to hold the Gunners at 0-0 going in to the break, but in the second 45 minutes they were blown away by the home side. Once again, they struggled in front of goal – they have scored just 24 goals in 26 matches in the Premier League so far.
Who the heck is that?! Can you name all 25 of these obscure Newcastle signings…
Joelinton has been toothless in front of goal – he now has one goal in 26 matches in the top flight. Newcastle need to sort out their goal-scoring troubles as soon as possible.
Jermaine Jenas has suggested that Steve Bruce should make a change up front by playing Allan Saint-Maximin through the middle and dropping the Brazil international (Match of the Day via The Chronicle).
This has got the Newcastle fans talking, and they seem torn by the suggestion. Some totally disagree with the idea.
Indeed, Saint-Maximin is a winger by trade, and not a centre-forward. Putting a square peg in a round hole is not the best solution for a problem that they are currently experiencing.
Others, though, appear to agree with their former player.
The 22-year-old has played there 12 times in his career, scoring two goals – a better strike rate than Joelinton this term.
