Manchester United have made an improved bid for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo as they bid to beat Tottenham to his signature, per a new report.

Per talkSPORT, United have raised their bid for Mbeumo to a package worth in excess of £60 million ($81m), and talks are continuing this week as the club aim to add to the signing of Matheus Cunha. Tottenham also made a bid for Mbeumo, but the player would prefer a move to Old Trafford, according to the report.

The Bees forward scored 20 Premier League goals last season and is now poised to leave, with United seemingly overtaking Spurs in the race for his signature. To that end, the report claims that the north London club will now focus their attention on Crystal Palace ace Eberechi Eze.
