Insider ExWHUemployee has revealed that West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen is fit and training despite “concern” over a possible injury.
What’s the word?
Although it’s been a pretty poor season so far for the Hammers in the Premier League, the East London club have managed to get a couple of decent result of late.
Indeed, they picked up a well-earnt point away at high-flying Newcastle United on the weekend and claimed a win over Everton the match prior and so now sit 16th in the division.
Bowen played 90 minutes in both games and scored both goals in the victory but internally it seems there were some fears that he could be set for a short spell out.
Indeed, while speaking on The West Ham Way podcast, Ex revealed that there were concerns over a potential knock, but fortunately, he has been back in training.
The insider said: “The same with Jarrod Bowen. There was a concern that he was out as well, that he picked up a knock, but he’s training as well.”
Fit and ready
Bowen was incredibly impressive last season with 18 goals and 13 assists in all competitions. In the first half of the current campaign, however, he struggled with just two league goals and zero assists leading into the break for the World Cup.
Since the return of top-flight football in England, though, he has managed to score as many goals, add an assist to his tally, and also net a goal in the FA Cup – suggesting he may steadily be rediscovering his best form.
With that in mind, Moyes will no doubt be delighted to learn that this potential scare is nothing to be worried about. Especially with other attackers such as Maxwel Cornet and Gianluca Scamacca recently struggling for fitness.
