Franco Mastantuono has been banned from Real Madrid training before even making his debut due to a Spanish law.

Per Alvaro Esteban, who works for , Mastantuono has been banned from joining up with his Real Madrid team-mates after completing his move from River Plate. The Spanish giants paid €45 million (£39m/$52m) to sign the 17-year-old, but he has yet to start playing with Jude Bellingham and co.

Mastantuono can only start training with Real from the age of 18, which means that until his birthday, on August 14, he must train alone and is forbidden from reconvening with Xabi Alonso's squad. Real will keep a close eye on his performances as he does so.

Mastantuono has already won one cap for Argentina and made 64 appearances for River Plate, scoring 10 goals and registering seven assists. He can play on the right wing and as a No.10.
