The weekend was dominated by beautiful goals, touching tributes and unfortunately horrendous refereeing errors.
Here are some of the biggest talking points from this weekend’s action.
Vincent Tan Lookalike
Cardiff City fans are a peculiar bunch, their relationship with owner Vincent Tan has been like a rollercoaster, but after winning promotion to the Premier League, he’s in the majority of fans’ good books.
This particular fan decided to arrive at the game on Saturday in Vincent Tan ‘fancy dress’.
Pogba In A Suit
Fans were shocked when Paul Pogba wasn’t even named in the Manchester United squad for their derby game at the Etihad on Sunday.
The French midfielder had reportedly picked up an injury in training and was unable to play, but was seen in the stands wearing a suit ahead of kick-off.
Sir Alex In Attendance
It wasn’t all bad news for United fans on Sunday as they saw the return of Sir Alex Ferguson to the stands.
Ferguson who is still on the Manchester United board after retiring had been absent from their matches since falling ill in May with a brain haemorrhage.
Aguero’s Hair
Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero is usually catches your eye through his stunning performances and brilliant goals.
But before kick-off on Sunday he was the talk of the Etihad with his silver hair! It was different hair but sam result for the Argentine who scored City’s second in a 3-1 derby win.
City’s Team Goal
City’s third goal will no doubt be up for goal of the month and even trouble the panel deciding the goal of the season.
Ilkay Gundogan completed the move that involved 44 passes and took one minute 55 seconds from start to finish!
Huddersfield’s First Goal
Last week Huddersfield scored their first goal of the season at home, but it was only thanks to Fulham’s Tomothy Fosu-Mensah who headed into his own net.
This weekend saw Alex Pritchard become the first Terriers player to score at the John Smith’s Stadium this season. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough get all three points as they draw with West Ham.
