According to The Telegraph journalist John Percy, Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan is set to join Birmingham City on loan for the rest of the season.
The 27-year-old has been on loan at Stoke City since the start of the 2019/20 campaign but has struggled to make his mark for the Potters.
Indeed, the forward has only managed two Championship goals in 13 appearances, whilst he has not actually turned out for the club in the league since the middle of December.
According to Percy, Birmingham are nearing a move for the Republic of Ireland international, and it will not come as a surprise to learn that the Villa supporters have been reacting in their numbers.
Many are surprised that he is set to pitch up at St Andrew’s.

Others, meanwhile, are now sure that Hogan will not turn out for Villa again, particularly if the move does indeed go through.
One supporter even claimed that Hogan would now more than likely find his shooting boots after a difficult stage of his career.
Hogan has only managed 10 goals in his 61 appearances for Villa, whilst he featured on seven occasions for Dean Smith’s side last season as they secured promotion from the Championship.
Meanwhile, a number of Villa fans have been offering their views on a surprise link with this particular striker ahead of the closing of the transfer window.
